Vintage Rolled Gold Round Locket And Freshwater Pearl Necklace

Lovely vintage (early to mid 20th century) rolled gold locket on a contemporary stand of AA white freshwater pearls.

The locket has pretty bright cut engraving of foliage on one side and it is stamped Rolled Gold on the other. The locket opens and closes crisply and has inserts for 2 photos. The design of the engraving suggests it dates from the 1940's/1950's and is a lovely example of post war sentimental jewellery. A beautiful necklace for Summer.

The locket is 1.5cm in diameter. The pearl necklace measures 40cm with a 5cm extension. 

This unique piece of jewellery may have signs of wear due to its history. It is beautifully imperfect and should be treated with love and care. This pretty locket is in very good vintage condition.
