Stunning mid century modernist Andreas Daub rolled gold and deep forest green glass/paste pendant on a contemporary Italian gold plated curb chain. The bail on the pendant is stamped Rolled Gold Germany and A*D for Andreas Daub.

This beautiful pendant was made in the world-renowned historic jewellery center of Pforzheim, Germany, by the master artisans at Andreas Daub (established 1872), featuring a fusion of brutalist texture and architectural geometry.

Unlike standard modern gold plating techniques, vintage German rolled gold from this era uses the legendary "Amerikaner technique". This process mechanically bonds a thick, durable sheet of gold to a base metal under immense heat and pressure resulting in a deep luster and durability.

The total drop of the pendant is 4.5cm and the chain is adjustable and can be worn at 40cm, 42cm and 45cm. The pendant is in veery good vintage condition with no flaws.
