Pretty carved ivory daisy brooch. The brooch has 2 labels on the back. One stating 'Danish handcrafted' and the other 'elfenben' which is ivory in Danish. The importation of ivory and its use in making jewellery etc is illegal but this brooch would have been made before the ban was introduced.

These kind of hand carved flower brooches were gifts and souvenirs taken home from Europe where they were made.  They were popular with tourists and generally date from around the 1930s.

An unusual and pretty treasure.

The brooch measures 3cm in diameter. 

This unique piece of jewellery may have signs of wear due to its history. It is beautifully imperfect and should be treated with love and care. This brooch is in excellent vintage condition.
