SOLD Vintage Sterling Silver Watch Fob Pendant Chester 1937

$165.00

This product is sold out

Beautiful sterling silver watch fob. It has clear hallmarks for Chester 1937 and the makers mark T.J for Thomas James Skelton of Vyse St, Birmingham. The Chester Assay Office closed in 1962 making Chester hallmarked items scarce and collectible.

This watch fob/medal has a lovely substantial feel to it with an empty cartouche on the front and  engraving on the back (please see photos).

It would be a great addition to a watch chain or pearl necklace to create a unique and special necklace.

A fob is an adornment or a seal that hung from the ribbon or chain of a Gentleman's pocket watch. Its purpose was to decorate or add weight to the watch chain. Watch fob pendants were often given as prizes or to commemorate a special occasion or event.

The watch fob is 3.5cm x 2.5cm including the original bale and ring.

This unique piece of jewellery may have signs of wear due to its history. It is beautifully imperfect and should be treated with love and care. This watch fob is in excellent vintage condition

All Vonk Jewellery is presented in a gift box and pouch with luxe ribbon. If you would like a gift message included please message me at checkout.

Please note this is the price for the fob only.
