Lovely sterling silver watch fob with a blank cartouche and engraving on the front and a clean back perfect for your own engraving. It has the makers mark for Thomas Fattorini Ltd and the Birmingham hallmark for 1932.
This watch fob pendant would look great on either a silver chain or pearl necklace.
The Fattorini company was founded in 1827 by Antonio Fattorini an Italian immigrant who settled in Yorkshire, UK. They specialised in the manufacture of badges and medals for sports clubs and made the famous UK trophies for footballs FA Cup and Rugby League Challenge Cup. The company is still manufacturing today led by the 6th generation of the Fattorino family.
A fob is an adornment or a seal that hung from the ribbon or chain of a Gentleman's pocket watch. Its purpose was to decorate or add weight to the watch chain. Watch fob pendants were often given as prizes or to commemorate a special occasion or event.
The watch fob measures 3cm x 2cm.
