SOLD Harrods Vintage Sterling Silver Christmas Pudding Charm Bracelet

I could not believe it when I found these rare sterling silver traditional Christmas pudding charms from Harrods with their original card. The card has the London 01 prefix telephone number so I suspect they are from the 1960/70s. There was one full set and they were calling out to be made into this very special and unique silver charm bracelet.
I have added them to a vintage silver curb link chain bracelet which has its safety chain intact. The bracelet measures 18cm and the charms average 1cm. The original card is included with the bracelet.
The charms are - a bell for betrothal, a button for a bachelor, a thimble for blessedness, a wishbone, a coin for fortune and a horseshoe for luck.
The tradition of adding a lucky charm to a pudding or dessert is thought to go back to the 1300's when a dried pea or small silver charm was baked into a Twelfth Night cake with the lucky recipient becoming Queen or King for the night. Later silver coins or charms like these were added to the pudding with each charm having a special meaning and suggesting the recipients fortune for the coming year.
This unique piece of jewellery may have signs of wear due to its history. It is beautifully imperfect and should be treated with love and care.
