Beautiful late Victorian antique gold tone brass and luminous mother of pearl cabochon convertible brooch/pendant. The brooch can also be worn as a pendant and I have put it on a vintage gold plated chain.

The mother of pearl has a strong pink and green iridescence and the hand wrought gold tone open frame has a lovely rich gold patina. It has it s original extended pin stem and period-correct C-clasp along with an integrated top bail for a chain or piece of ribbon. 

No longer confined to your Grandmother's jewellery box brooches are now having a massive comeback and are hailed as THE jewellery trend of 2026. They are a great way to add some individual style to your outfit. Add them to your jacket, skirt, bag or scarf to instantly update your style.

This brooch would also like great used as a pendant or clasp on a  pearl necklace.
