Lovely 900 silver and carnelian fob with unusual rope detailing on a contemporary sterling silver box chain.

A fob is an adornment or a seal that hung from the ribbon or chain of a Gentleman's pocket watch. Its purpose was to decorate or add weight to the watch chain. Some fobs swiveled within a moveable bracket to allow the wearer a choice as to which face was displayed prominently.

The fob measures 3cm including the ring and the chain measures 60cm.

This unique piece of jewellery may have signs of wear due to its history. It is beautifully imperfect and should be treated with love and care. This fob has is in great antique condition.
