A beautiful Edwardian-era 9ct gold pounamu nephrite jade heart pendant on an Italian heavily gold plated curb chain. Featuring a 9ct gold stamped bail and fern leaf this beautiful pendant displays the hand set gold pin assembly method common to colonial jewellers at the turn of the 20th century.

Pounamu is revered for centuries by Māori as a stone of strength, healing, and connection to the land.

The pendant is in excellent antique condition with no chips or marks and is a true collectors piece..

The pendant measures 3cm x 4cm including the bail and the chain is adjustable and can be worn at 5 or 55cm.
