Large sterling silver watch fob with a blank cartouche, beautiful pierced work and engraving and a clean back perfect for your own engraving. It has the makers mark for William Hair Haseler and the Birmingham hallmark for 1898. 

This watch fob pendant would look great on either a silver chain or pearl necklace.

Founded in 1870 in Birmingham, England, W.H. Haseler and Co. quickly rose to prominence as a master silversmith and manufacturing jeweler in the heart of the historic Hylton Street jewelry quarter. While Haseler built a stellar reputation for exceptional everyday Victorian and Edwardian silverware—such as exquisitely detailed pocket watch fobs, vesta cases, and medals—the maker secured an indelible place in design history through a historic 1898 partnership with Arthur Lasenby Liberty, founder of the iconic Liberty and Co. department store.

 Haseler’s Birmingham workshop soon became the primary manufacturer for Liberty's legendary Cymric silver and Tudric pewter lines. Bringing to life the visionary, organic blueprints of legendary Arts and Crafts designer Archibald Knox, Haseler blended high-quality commercial craftsmanship with cutting-edge Art Nouveau style. Highly collectible today, pieces stamped with the distinctive W.H.H. maker's mark are celebrated for their meticulous attention to detail, elegant pierced silverwork, and deep ties to the British Arts and Crafts movement.

A fob is an adornment or a seal that hung from the ribbon or chain of a Gentleman's pocket watch. Its purpose was to decorate or add weight to the watch chain. Watch fob pendants were often given as prizes or to commemorate a special occasion or event.
