This stunning pearl necklace features a sterling silver and rose gold shield watch fob with a sterling silver oval spring clasp. The watch fob is hallmarked Birmingham 1932 and has the makers mark J.F for James Fenton & Co of Great Hampton St, Birmingham.
The watch fob has a blank rose gold cartouche on the front and engraving on the back. Please see photos.
The clasp easily opens so that you can add your own favourite charms or pendants making it a truly versatile and beautiful piece of jewellery.
The necklace can be worn with the clasp at the back for a luxe, classic look or the clasp and pendant can be worn at the front for a totally different look to compliment different necklines.
A fob is an adornment or a seal that hung from the ribbon or chain of a Gentleman's pocket watch. Its purpose was to decorate or add weight to the watch chain. Watch fob pendants were often given as prizes or to commemorate a special occasion or event.
The pearl necklace and clasp measures 50cm. The pearls measure 8mm and clasp measures 1.5cm. The watch fob measures 4cm x 2.5cm inclusive of the ring.
