VIntage Italian Saint Anne charm necklace with gold plated green agate drop and pearl charms on a sterling silver Italian box chain. The Saint Anne charm is a silver tone with a pretty rose gold coloured wash. The saint is depicted in relief on one side and with Pray For Us on the other side with the Italy stamp. A gorgeous and unique necklace.

According to Christian and Islamic tradition, St Anne was Mary's mother and therefore  Jesus maternal grandmother. During the Middle Ages St Anne became identified as a  maritime saint, protecting sailors and fisherman. 

The saint charm measures 2.5cm and the chain measures 45cm.

This unique piece of jewellery may have signs of wear due to its history. It is beautifully imperfect and should be treated with love and care. This gorgeous charms are in great condition.
