Vintage Italian Infant Of Prague Charm Necklace

VIntage Italian Infant Of Prague charm necklace with gold plated green agate drop and pearl charms on a sterling silver Italian box chain. The charm is a silver tone with a pretty rose gold coloured wash. The saint is depicted in relief on one side and with Pray For Us on the other side with the Italy stamp. A gorgeous and unique necklace.

The Infant Of Prague is a coloured wax covered wooden statue of the infant Jesus. The statue is of Spanish origin and was taken to Prague by the Spanish Duchess Marie Manriquez de Lcara in the mid 16th century. The infant is housed in the Church of Our Lady Victorious In Prague. 

The saint charm measures 2.5cm and the chain measures 55cm.

This unique piece of jewellery may have signs of wear due to its history. It is beautifully imperfect and should be treated with love and care. This gorgeous charm is in great condition.
