Unique gold plate fob seal with a set stone and on a gold plate bead chain. The stone has engraving and a set of initials. A unique and one of a kind necklace.
Seals were engraved gold or other metal medallions attached to fobs, used for marking a person's signature impression in sealing wax for important documents or other correspondence, or purely for ornamentation. They often had a ring for suspension from a chatelaine or watch chain.
The seal measures 3.5cm x 2.5cm and the chain measures 60cm.
This unique piece of jewellery may have signs of wear due to its history. It is beautifully imperfect and should be treated with love and care. This seal has some wear to its surface.
