French Antique Marcasite Leaf Brooch

Beautiful antique/vintage marcasite leaf brooch with trombone clasp. This gorgeous brooch would instantly add a touch of glamour to any outfit.

Trombone clasps, also sometimes known as push-pull safety clasps, were used on European jewellery from the 1890s. Often seen on jewellery from France or pieces imported into France. They were widely used on brooches made through the 1940s, and more sporadically after that time.
