SOLD Vintage Silver Filigree Carnelian Middle Eastern Necklace

Unusual and beautiful carnelian and silver opera length vintage necklace. It has polished carnelian stones of different sizes and intricate open filigree balls with twisted link connectors which are all features of Middle Eastern or North African craftsmanship.

There are no hallmarks but the delicate silver work tests for silver. The wirework construction of the silver beads suggests that the necklace's origin could be Yemenite, Moroccan Berber or the Gulf region.

A gorgeous and unique piece of vintage jewellery which would look great layered with other pieces or worn alone and the perfect piece to dress up a simple outfit. 

The necklace measures 90cm in total (45cm from the neck).

This unique piece of jewellery may have signs of wear due to its history. It is beautifully imperfect and should be treated with love and care. This gorgeous piece is in great vintage condition.
