Amazing antique sterling silver trombone watch chain bracelet with an albert clasp and T bar. The clasp and T bar are hallmarked 1899 with the makers mark HP most probably for Henry Pope. Every link is stamped with the lion passant stamp.
Trombone chain is named thus as the elongated links resemble the shape of a trombone's slide with smaller connecting links. They were often used for gentleman's watch chains. This example is of a good weight weighing 41g and may have been repurposed as a bracelet in the past.
The bracelet measures 19.5cm.
This unique piece of jewellery may have signs of wear due to its history. It is beautifully imperfect and should be treated with love and care. This bracelet is in excellent antique condition considering its age. There is very little wear at all.
