Lovely sterling silver compass watch fob pendant with a beautiful fancy decorative surround. It does have Birmingham hallmarks but they are worn. It is however in great condition with no damage to the glass. This type of miniature and working compasses were a decorative and practical addition to a Gentleman's watch chain.

A fob is an adornment or a seal that hung from the ribbon or chain of a Gentleman's pocket watch. Its purpose was to decorate or add weight to the watch chain. Watch fob pendants were often given as prizes or to commemorate a special occasion or event.
