Antique Silver Ivy Leaf Hinged Bangle

Beautiful antique silver hinged bangle with delightful raised ivy leaf detailing and engraving. The bangle is not obviously hallmarked however I do think that there are hallmarks that have been worn away on the inside of the bangle by the clasp. Please note that this is a small bangle of oval shape measuring 5.5cm in length and would only fit a small wrist.

I have acid tested the bangle for sterling silver.

Symbolism was very important in Victorian jewellery and Ivy leaves were a popular motif as they represent everlasting life, devotion, fidelity and loyalty.

This unique piece of jewellery may have signs of wear due to its history. It is beautifully imperfect and should be treated with love and care. This bangle is in very good condition.
