Antique 9ct Rose Gold Carnelian And Bloodstone Spinner Fob

Gorgeous antique 9ct rose gold spinning fob with carnelian and bloodstone inserts and an unusual chain link feature. This fob would look amazing on a chain or pearl necklace.

The fob does not have hallmarks but acid tests for 9ct gold. It does have the makers mark T & H for Taylor & Hancock of Northampton St, Birmingham. The fob is in good antique condition with some very minor wear.

A fob is an adornment or a seal that hung from the ribbon or chain of a Gentleman's pocket watch. Its purpose was to decorate or add weight to the watch chain. Some fobs swiveled within a moveable bracket to allow the wearer a choice as to which face was displayed prominently.

The fob measures 2cm x 2.5cm including the ring and bail.

This unique piece of jewellery may have signs of wear due to its history. It is beautifully imperfect and should be treated with love and care. This fob has some wear but is overall in great antique condition.
