Vintage Inspired Diamante Gold Bow Keshi Pearl Earrings
$125.00
These glamorous earrings feature large keshi pearls and vintage inspired gold tone and diamonte bows on gold fill hooks.
Traditionally seen as a symbol of love and marriage, bows in jewellery first appeared in 17th century France. The placement of bow jewels during this period was highly symbolic. A bow worn on a ribbon around the neck suggested playfulness, whilst a bow worn near to the heart suggested the wearer was in love. During the French Revolution the frivolity of the bow on jewellery disappeared but reappeared during the Edwardian era and started to feature on brooches, rings, necklaces and earrings. The bow motif endures today often playing a prominent part in luxury jewellery houses such as Chanel. Tiffany and Garrard.
The earrings are 4.5cm in length.
