His company was established in the late 19th century and he specialised in high quality silver items such as fobs, lockets and seals. This fob features the the high quality bright cut engraving seen in Pellow's work.The Chester Assay Office closed in 1962 making Chester hallmarked items scarce and collectible. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eA fob is an adornment or a seal that hung from the ribbon or chain of a Gentleman's pocket watch.
